Digging Deeper

Bi-Weekly Teen Discussion Group

(Grades 7-12)

Starting Thursday, February 12!
Through discussion, we hope to help teens better understand what a powerful tool faith can be in their every day lives. Discussion topics include (but will not be limited to):
• stress
• peer pressure (in the classroom, in school activities, on the field, at parties...)
• self esteem
• gossip
• relationships
Please click here for the L.I.F.E. Teen Calendar. There you will find all of the SMT meeting dates and a link to sign up to chaperon. Please note that this is the same calendar used for L.I.F.E. Teen at OLG so the bi-weekly OLG meeting dates will also be on the calendar

Do you coach a sport, do you have a child that plays a sport?  If so, check out former MLB player Brett Illig's website www.sportsintofaith.com.  The site is built around Brett's Ministry of Hope: Integrating Sports into Faith  + Growing in Grace on the Sidelines, Stands and Athletic Fields of Sports and Competition. The site contains great tips for coaches, athletes and parents on how to use faith as a "training tool" in sports.  As a professional athlete turned Youth Minister, Brett fully understands how hard it is staying true to our faith in the highly competitive field of athletics (from CYO through professional sports).  Check out the site. Once there, you can download the ISIF (Integrating Sports into Faith) App onto your Android or Apple phone.
